MARVELOUS GOLD FIRE SEVERUM SIZE 3 INCHES
Elevate your freshwater aquarium with a gorgeous, high-quality 3 inch Gold Fire Severum (Heros efasciatus). Known for their stunning golden-yellow coloration and vivid red/orange speckles, these selectively bred South American cichlids make the perfect centerpiece fish. Despite being cichlids, they are known as "gentle giants" and boast a highly interactive, personable demeanor.
- Size: Currently at a healthy 3 inches, making them a great size to safely integrate into community tanks with similarly sized fish.
- Coloration: Brilliant, fiery gold base with intense red speckles that will only deepen in hue as the fish matures.
- Temperament: Relatively peaceful for a cichlid, though they can display some territorial behavior during spawning.
- Diet: Omnivorous. They thrive on a varied diet of high-quality cichlid flakes, carotenoid-rich pellets, and supplemental fresh vegetables like zucchini or peas.
- Minimum Tank Size: 55+ gallons (75+ gallons preferred for full-grown adults).
- Water Temperature: 75°F to 82°F.
- Water Parameters: pH 6.0–7.5, soft to moderately hard water.
- Environment: Thrives in setups with smooth, sandy substrates, natural driftwood, and open swimming areas.
